Now that I have paired words into sentences, crafted sentenced into paragraphs and inserted witty dialogue to create a manuscript worthy of publication, what’s next? I have cover art, a registered ISBN and I have published my work to all the platforms. There are posts, so many posts, on all the medias. Day after day I am constructing witty ways to market not only my novel but also myself.

I have made sales in paperback and ebook. Most likely to family, friends and those who felt obligated to purchase. I even received a few reviews already.

So what now?

Obviously I am already working on my next book. I mean what do I do in reference to my first novel? How do I keep up the hype? How do I market myself to grow an audience? Do just keep posting? Do I pay for ads? If so what platform do I use for that? How much do I budget? How do I get my name out there? How do I find my fan base if no one knows who I am? How do I utilize those friends and family purchases?

Writing a novel is so much more than just writing. You have to be more than just a great writer, more than creative. Being good, well isn’t good enough.
